The Solution Engineer is responsible for presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in the company’s technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value. This role is specifically focused on developing ITIL® processes on the Salesforce platform in the product form of Cadalys Service Management.

Role-Specific Job Requirements

  • Understand the customer's needs, and establish Cadalys’ products as the best solution that solves the customer's challenges
  • Build and present customized demos of Cadalys Service Management
  • Convey deep knowledge of the customer's technology as it pertains to Cadalys’ solutions
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
  • Answer RFP’s effectively
  • Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region
  • Proactively communicates new releases, functionality, technical product changes, degradations, outages, end of life and other relevant updates

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of various products/functionality in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database, and web technology
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
  • 3+ years of ITSM/ITIL product experience with a strong focus on the CMDB, Monitoring, Discovery, and integrations
  • 2+ years of experience developing and implementing ITSM/ITIL® processes and solutions
  • Involved in three full lifecycle ITSM implementations (ServiceNow, TopDesk, Cherwell, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certifications a plus
  • ITIL®v3 Foundation Certification
  • Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM/Service company or similar technology
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies
  • 2+ years of experience documenting tool requirements and assisting customers in comparing various Vendors
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management and all accompanying design, development and delivery activities and forethought
